VOLUNTEER WORK
After junior youth training I assisted in the coordination and implementation of community service for junior youth ages 11-15. The project was developed to tutor this special age group to reach a level of proficiency where they can read with ease. “Breezes of Confirmation” was prepared by the William Mmutle Masetlha Foundation with this in mind. This book strengthens the basic literacy skills to help them begin to articulate ideas with some degree of precision and clarity. The next level was to read with good comprehension and to use the power of expression effectively which young people should strive to develop. Additional to this, I was trained to help lead these youth to live a productive and fruitful life in a world of increasing complexity, while being able to translate high ideals and noble words into pure deeds.
