How BAD do You Want It?

The question is, How BAD do You Want It? Simple enough...yes? In fact, many of us SAY we want something, but in fact...Ok, try this one on for size: Would you give up the tip of your left pinky finger in order to get what you want...if necessary?

I think it all boils down to playing small. Most of us want to put forth the minimum-maximum. The Just-Enough! We play small; I've done it and so have you.

Well OK, self-assessment time. Where has Playin-Small got us? Are we wealthy? By and large, No! Do we have our own business? Probably not. Did we finish college and graduate? Some did; many did not.

If you are reading this eLetter, then you are probably on the job hunt. Heck, I hunted for a new job, although I was employed. Why? I got sick and tired of being sick and tired of the career and corporation that I worked for. Yet, when we play small, we aren't playing to win. if we're not playing to win it, then we don't REALLY want it...do we?

There's an pold joke about a dog sitting on a nail. S/he howls, whines, and wimpers -- but doesn't move off the nail. When asked about the dog's dilemma, the owner replied. S/he rather sit there and suffer; versus getting up. Why? Because it hurts the dog too much to pull himself off of the nail.

Is this you? Are you sitting on nails? When are you going to stop playing small? When will you play to win? How BAD do you want it?
