Pre - Kindergarten Teacher Resume

Objective: To obtain an early elementary teaching position that will enable me to utilize my strong management skills, educational background and ability to work well with children.

Special Training/Programs
Thinking Maps, Modern Red Schoolhouse, Direct Instruction, Teacher Assessment Program (TAP), Kagan, Write From the Beginning, Positive Behavior Support (PBS), OnCourse and JPAMS software

Experience:

Pre-K Teacher, A State of Louisiana School, August 2010-present
Responsibilities include:
-Implementing TAP strategies in the classroom
-Conducting Developmental Skills Checklist (DSC) and interpreting resulting data
-Collaborating with fellow pre-k teacher
-Maintaining student development portfolios to monitor and assess student growth throughout the
year
-Participating in school wide and individual professional development including attendance at the
Louisiana Early Childhood Association (LAECA) state conference
-Maintaining a caring, supportive, developmentally appropriate early childhood environment to foster
student growth and development
-Communicating with parents on a regular basis via newsletters, notes, school website, phone calls
and parent-teacher conferences

Pre-K Teacher, Farmerville Elementary, Union Parish School Board, August 2005-May 2010
Responsibilities included:
-Supervising students, paraprofessionals and parent volunteers
-Collaborating with other pre-k teachers, inclusion teacher and reading coach on a weekly basis
-Participating in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as well as helping develop and

implement goals and objectives for inclusion students
-Maintaining student development portfolios to monitor and assess student growth throughout the
year
-Conducting tests and interpreting resulting data for the DSC, the Brigance Preschool Screen for
Three and Four Year Olds and the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT)
-Participating in school wide and individual professional development including attendance at the
Louisiana Early Childhood Association (LAECA) state conference, the Southern Early Childhood
Association (SECA) regional conference and the Early Childhood Education Summit V
-Maintaining a caring, supportive, developmentally appropriate early childhood environment to foster
student growth and development
-Communicating with parents on a regular basis via newsletters, notes, school website, phone calls
and parent-teacher conferences
Non-Categorical PreSchool Teacher, Homer Elementary, Claiborne Parish School Board, August 2003-May 2004
Responsibilities included:
-Developing and implementing IEP’s from pupil appraisal reports in addition to the above
responsibilities
