Michael Anthony Mizelle, Sr.

Michael Anthony Mizelle, Sr., 56 of 610 Harrison Street, Suffolk departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born to the late Floyd Mizelle, Sr. and Lucille Artis Mizelle. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Reverend Lessie Boone Mizelle.

He attended John F. Kennedy High School. He was self-employed and was dedicated to his profession. Michael had a passion for fishing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Leslie A. Mizelle of Suffolk; a son, Michael A. Mizelle, Jr. of Suffolk; a stepson, Anthony “Tony” Boone; grandchildren, Travon Pittman, Quashan and Quanisha Bailey, Zayajah Boone; one sister, Mildred Holloway of Chuckatuck, VA; two brothers, Floyd Mizelle, Jr. (Mary) of New York and Keith Mizelle of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Pinky Boone of Portsmouth, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Mark AME Zion Church officiated by Rev. Wilmers Williams. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
