Your Resume Only has One Chance

by Bob Beitelman

Yeah, you rarely get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. Years ago when I was hiring someone for my department, I received a resume from a woman who spelled her name wrong...

I also received a resume from a prospective employee job-hunter in which the resume submission was written in pencil...on spiral-bound, steno paper.

Needless to say, I decided AGAINST hiring either of those two individuals. Again, as I said earlier, "Yeah -- you rarely get a 2nd chance to make a first impression."
